Staffline is proud to be a diverse employer, helping people from all over the world find work here in the UK. We value the contribution you make as a worker, and, with all the uncertainty surrounding Britain’s exit from the European Union, we understand that this may be a worrying time for you.
We want to reassure you that, as the largest employer of EU migrant workers in the UK, we’ll support you in applying for your new immigration status. The process is simple and straightforward, and there is lots of help available to you.
You are central to the success of Staffline and we want you and your family members to secure settled or pre-settled status as soon as possible.
If you are an EU citizen, you and your family members must apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living in the UK after 30th June 2021. The EU Settlement Scheme allows you and your family members to continue to live, work and study here in the UK after Brexit.
Gaining Settled Status will mean that you will still have the right to public services (like healthcare and schooling), public funds and pensions, and can apply for British citizenship.
You need to apply to this scheme if you are an EU citizen or a non-EU family member of an EU citizen, even if you have a permanent residence document.
You do not need to apply if you have indefinite leave to remain or enter, or if you are an Irish citizen.
If you are, or have been a UK resident on or before 31st December 2020, you are eligible to apply. If you have been a resident for less than five continuous years, you will be eligible for pre-settled status. To apply, you must not be a serious or persistent criminal, a threat to national security, or have a deportation order, exclusion order or exclusion decision against you.
Gaining settled status is quick and easy, as there are just three steps:
1. Prove your identity by scanning your passport or EU national identity card and uploading a photograph of yourself
2. Confirm your residence in the UK by providing your National Insurance number or other appropriate documentation
3. Complete a criminality check and declare any criminal convictions
You can either apply online or use the app on your Android device. The attached guide will take you through the process, step-by-step.
More information about the application process is available on the www.gov.uk website, here.
We are proud of our fantastically diverse and talented workforce, and we want to do all we can to help you stay with us.
We wish you all the best with your application.
